It’s pretty easy to find a good vitamin that’s gluten free. It’s not as easy, however to find one that is soy free. When you take medication for thyroid issues, it’s a good idea to avoid soy, as it can inhibit absorption of thyroid meds. It seems most vitamins use soybean oil. I was so happy to find Sports Research Vitamin D3 (5000iu) with Coconut Oil, 360 Liquid Softgels. It’s 5000IU and, besides being free of all the typical allergens you find in vitamins, uses coconut oil instead of soybean. Don’t worry if the capsules appear cloudy if its cooler, that’s just the coconut oil. Hold the capsule in your palm for a few seconds to warm it and the oil will liquefy inside the capsule. I’m very, very happy with Sports Research vitamins! 🙂
